Everything is sitting in the fridge waiting to be put together. I shall have my own!

I cheated and used sauerkraut instead of fresh cabbage and skipped the split peas (who the hell has time to soak them overnight?). I also used store-bought shiitake instead of picking my own wild mushrooms. For shame. My Babci is scowling at me from heaven.

We had various sausages, sauerkraut, and potatoes for dinner. And beer. Lots of beer.

it’s the Polish version of sauerkraut. often cooked together with mushrooms and kiebasa.

Already at my own personal crockpot worth.
I’m simple - 1 bag of sauerkraut to 1 package of kielbasa. Cook on low for a few hours, stirring occasionally.
Then eat about half now, save the other half for later.

Just thought I’d share this. Saw something similar at the store today.
